Best Cattle Feed for Small Dairy Farmers in Kashmir

Most dairy farms in Kashmir are not large commercial operations — they are households with one to five animals, feeding, milking and managing everything by hand. Feed advice written for 50-cow farms often doesn't fit this reality. Here's what actually works for a small Kashmir dairy household.

For a small Kashmir dairy household with 1-5 animals, the simplest reliable approach is one core lactation feed matched to your best milker's yield — GOKA Star or Smile for animals up to 15 L/day, Challenger 8000 for 15-22 L/day — fed at 1 kg per 2.5 liters of milk plus 1 kg maintenance.
