The procedure is the doctor's; the fortnight after is the farmer's, and good aftercare is mostly clean bedding, fly vigilance and feed that keeps growth rolling.

Feed Guidance

Aftercare is rhythm: normal milk/feed offered from day one (appetite is your recovery gauge — a calf eating eagerly on day two is textbook), clean water always, and the daily wound-and-flies glance through healing; in fly season, that glance is non-negotiable and repellent protection per the doctor's advice earns its cost.
